Dear Neighbors, We’re sharing with you today new guidance issued by the Delaware County and the State to help bring the escalating COVID-19 crisis under control. The rapid rise and wide community spread of this highly contagious and life-threatening virus is real and is very much present right here in our community. In just the last two weeks, Rutledge has seen a doubling of cases. We now rank in the top half of Delco municipalities for cases as a percentage of our population... after spending nine months at or near the bottom of the list. We can stop the spread of this virus. All of us. But no one can do it alone. Unlike in the early days and weeks of this pandemic, we all know what we can do to stop the spread, protect our loved ones and neighbors, and bring this pandemic under control. As we enter this normally joyful time of year, we want to encourage everyone to love thy neighbor, and protect them by: Wearing a Mask In public and at home when you’re together with individuals who don’t live with you Keeping Your Distance In stores, public spaces, and gatherings indoors and out Getting Tested If you’ve been in contact with anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19 or has tested positive No one can control the spread of this virus alone. We need to work together. Our families, friends, and local businesses are counting on all of us to help them get through this. Please, do your part. LOVE THY NEIGHBOR, RUTLEDGE MASK UP
