Thanks to Ray Werner and the Pittsburgh History Center represented by Courtney Keel, the grandfather clock that was made for the Carmelite novitiate came home where it resided for a hundred years. We are so excited and happy about the return of the clock under loan from the Pittsburgh History Center, and will be renewed on a yearly basis. This massive clock adds so much warmth, character, and charm to our retreat center!

Our cross is going LED! For years, the "neon" cross has been a sign of Christ's love for all those passing by our church on the turnpike. This year the electric cables rotted out and the cross dimmed. The amount of electricity that was converted to power the old neon tubing was a danger. However, soon our cross will be back shining brightly through the night by way of LED lighting.

We've all been through alot in these past months of covid19. Let's try to be positive, lifting each other up. It's easy to complain over so many little things. It's more important that we give encouragement, lift each other up and support each other at this time especially.

Beginning Wednesday, June 3, if a parishioner, who has viewed a daily Mass either televised or Facebook desires to receive The Eucharist, they may drive to the portico of the retreat center at 12 noon to receive holy communion from the car. This Sunday, at 12:00 noon, Holy Communion will be distributed in the same way for parishioners who have viewed the Mass and desire to receive the Eucharist. You may drive to the retreat center entrance, under the portico to receive com...munion. Driving through seems to work best rather than parking and walking to the door in our particular layout, but if you want to pray in the church after receiving the Eucharist, you may park and walk up to receive the Eucharist and go to the church to pray making sure to social distance. In addition, beginning June 14/15 regular Mass times will resume with social distancing in place, masks still being used. Confessions will be in our chapel Saturdays from 11- 12:30 and 5:00 - 5:45 pm. If you are not feeling well, please stay home. For those who still feel uncomfortable attending/gathering at Mass inside the church, or who's health may be compromised, please continue to view Sunday Mass on TV or Facebook and then you may drive to the retreat center entrance under the portico on Sundays at 12:00 noon to receive the Eucharist.
