Our first weekly contest ended this morning. The first 50 people who ordered tickets online received a pair of single-day admission vouchers for Dutch Wonderland. The vouchers are marked "2020," but park officials assured us they would be honored this summer. Thanks to everyone who ordered! You helped us get a jump on hitting one of our Duckie Stories goals, which will unlock the story of Luna, the Astronaut Duckie, when we reach 100 online orders.

Every other week this summer, we're having a Where's the Duckie photo contest on Facebook. We post a couple of photos of one of this year's Duckies. You guess the location in the comments. We'll randomly pick one correct guess to receive a $25 Amazon gift card. The first of these contests starts Monday, July 12. So check back here Monday for the Duckie photos and get in on the fun.

This is one of our Duckies this year. Blue-Power Wingtip, Superhero Duckie. His superpower is helping other duckies manage their sensory issues, something he struggled with as a duckling. After nearly 18 months of being closed due to COVID, we have great news about our playground. We are adjusting our protocols to allow Circle of Friends staff and children on the playground without masks. Food Truck Fridays are back! Starting this Friday, July 2, you will be able to stop by Schreiber to grab lunch and pick up some Duckie tickets. The Potato Coop and Farm Show Milkshakes will kick off this year's lunch series, which runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Friday through Aug. 27. Hope to see you!

Circle of Friends Academy on Tuesday confirmed a positive COVID case in the infant room. Schreiber and Circle of Friends established June 29 as the date when exposure at Schreiber took place. As a result, the Circle of Friends infant room will be closed starting Wednesday, June 30. All staff and infants present today will be in quarantine in accordance with the latest guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The infant room will re-open no later than Monday, July 12. The individual who tested positive did not expose children or staff in the other two Circle of Friends rooms, and they will remain open.

Check out Schreiber's Food Discovery Camp, returning this summer for a week in August. Emily Beddow, a Schreiber occupational therapist skilled in feeding issues, will run the camp, which will take place noon-3 p.m. Aug. 16, 18 and 20. We weren't able to host our annual Holiday Open House for the first time in many years. But we're hopeful to have it next year.
