The virtual exhibit will feature three videos, each pertaining to a corresponding photograph by Jim Gavenus, LCCC associate professor of photography and internationally-recognized ...documentary photographer, related to his experiences photographing dignitaries and historical figures in Selma, Alabama over the past 18 years, commemorating Selma's significance in the Civil Rights Movement. The videos and photos will be presented on the Schulman Gallery website at https:/luzerne.edu/schulmangallery/ and will be released on three consecutive Fridays: March 12, March 19, and March 26. All videos and photos will run simultaneously until Friday, April 16. The videos were produced through the LCCC Communication Arts Department and the videographer was LCCC Audio/Video Communications student, Owen Bruch. Although the Schulman Gallery remains closed at this time, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the three photographs by Jim Gavenus are on display and may be viewed through the glass windows of the Gallery. Also, a kiosk will be stationed in the hallway, outside of the Gallery, which will allow the viewer to select and watch the corresponding videos.
