GREAT NEWS!! Santa Clause just called the firehall and said he will be making a stop in Shade Gap on Dec. 17th at 7pm! After further discussion with Santa, we decided to offer him a ride through the borough of Shade Gap aboard one of our fire trucks. We will start on the Tannery rd side of Main street and head towards the Gap Mini Mart, finishing up there. ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS: The fire company meeting for December has been moved from Dec. 14th to this coming Monday Dec. 7th. Meeting time will remain at 7:30.

Time to dust off your bowling shoes and shine up your bowling ball! SGAFC has joined with the Huntingdon Holiday Bowl for a Doubles No Tap Tournament! The tournament will be Two-Man teams with an entry fee of $60 per team. $20 will go directly to the fire company for each team signed up. THANK A FIRST RESPONDER! Yesterday, our department responded to an auto accident on the Neelyton Mountain early in the morning. Our crew did their volunteer job, then went on with their day. But do you know what sacrifices were made? Just on that call:. We had a responder who was in another county on his way to work, riding with a co-worker, turn around and come back to help at the scene! We had a responder who showed up and literally risked their job, a job that yesterday was their first day. They didn't even know who to call to tell that they'd be late. But they still showed up. We had people that are self-employed in the area get a late start to their day. These are just a few examples, but EVERY volunteer responder makes sacrifices for you, or your family, or your friends.
