November 11, 2020 Dear Patients, Families, and Friends of Singer Orthodontics, We are contacting you to reinforce our protocols to protect you, your families, a...nd our staff from the on-going COVID crisis. We are taking every precaution to protect you, however, we are finding a tendency for many to be letting down their guard. We want you to understand that wearing a mask at all times in our office is absolutely needed, except while in the dental chair. In addition, all patients who are seated in the chair are asked to put on a pair of safety glassesany pair of glasses will do and we encourage each patient to come to the office with their own pair of glasses. We ask that only the patient enter the office if possible, and parents are asked to stay in the car. We will make an effort to speak with you when we are finished with the treatment for the day. We recognize there are exceptions, and feel free to contact us if you have a special concern about this protocol. We still encourage you to use email ([email protected]) to communicate with us. If the office is closed, an alternative is to call the office, wait for the answering machine, and then press #4, and leave a message with patient’s name and best telephone number to contact you. This is an effective system for dealing with concerns when the office is closed. We will continue to take temperatures of every patient and staff member. We will also ask questions about recent travel to hot spot areas and whether the family has experienced any family member or friend that tested positive for the virus in the past 2 weeks. We need to work together. As dentists and patients we all need to be on our game to ensure we stay safe and healthy.
