You may be surprised to know that if you die without a Will, the law decides who inherits from you. You do not decide. In order to protect your loved ones and make sure they get what you want them to get, you must have an estate plan, a Will especially. Don't leave it to the law to decide, you decide.

Memorial Day is to memorialize the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. We spend time remembering those who lost their lives and could not come home, reflecting on their service and why we have the luxury and freedom that we enjoy today. #WeAreForeverGrateful

Loved ones are passing away daily, whether it's Covid-19 related or not. The obituaries are full of the amazing life stories of those who have passed. Saying good bye properly has been taken away for many due to this pandemic. Getting access to a loved one's assets in order to pay bills, funeral expenses, and care for loved ones has also been challenging. Families who have lost a loved one these past few months are facing enormous challenges. We are here to help. Both Lehigh and Northampton Counties are permitting virtual probate so that loved ones are taken care of. Contact us to see how we are able to help you probate the estate of a loved one and take care of your family. While our physical location is closed, we like most, continue to work remotely. 610-391-9500.

We’ve had several calls this week where clients received a $1,200 stimulus check for a deceased loved one who would have filed a tax return for 2018 or 2019 but died since. The speed at which Treasury got these checks out did come at the expense of accuracy. We’ve been recommending our clients return the check to Treasury while some may argue you don’t have to because Treasury hasn’t implemented a claw back mechanism. We suspect it’ll be coming in the near future, so better safe than sorry. https://www.google.com//8C1706CA-8A33-11EA-805E-BE7772630D
