South Hills Country Club

A great event at South Hills Country Club tonight. Constellation Wines and Reidel Glassware educated 40+ of our Member on the benefits of fine stemware. A great presentation and a fantastic group. Thank you to everyone who attended.

Fall Golf Course Aerification is under way at South Hills Country Club. Punching holes, spreading sand and working that sand into the turf is the name of the game. Strong, deep plant roots make a healthy golf course. The Greens should heal quickly and playing conditions will be back to normal in no time. Ok, maybe a week to 10 days. Labor Day looks like it will be a "Good Day". 80 degrees, Sun, Food and Fun for the last "hurrah" of the 2017 Pool Season. We would love to see all of our Members at the Club.

If you happen to be heading to the Pirate vs. St Louis Cardinals game today keep a lookout for South Hills Country Club faces. You wont have to look hard. On the field before the game, with SHCC Membership Chairman Mr. Bill Henry watching, Club President Bob Simon will catch the ceremonial first pitch, which will be thrown by a very special individual. Cam Howard, a young man battling a premature aging disease called "Progeria" will throw out the pitch. Club Member Mr. Dan Brown donated the privilege of throwing the first pitch to Cam and his family. A great gesture from a very generous individual, for a deserving young man. All that's left to say is "PLAY BALL". Here is the group leaving from the Club.
