Attorney Ron Hershner, Solicitor for Redevelopment Authority of the County of York (RACY) was honored to support RACY in this transaction, collaborating with Hanover Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) and the Borough of Hanover to acquire the historic Hanover Theater. This was an excellent example of cooperation among County and Borough entities to tackle an important redevelopment project. We're anxious to see the potential of this landmark structure fulfilled by HEDC.

All good things must come to an end! Over the last six months, Attorney Chris Harris oversaw the York County Alliance for Learning - YCAL Law Career Exploration program. The monthly sessions enabled local high school students to learn about practicing law and provided hands-on experience. Projects included: - Writing a Will - Forming a business - Negotiating a real estate deal... - Getting ready for trial For last night’s finale, a mock trial, Chris called on some Stock and Leader colleagues to serve as a witness and guest judges to ensure the students had a successful and meaningful program.

This past week, we enjoyed employee appreciation for the ENTIRE week! The firm gifted each employee flowers, a sweet treat, a gift card, a personalized YETI, and a delicious breakfast. On Friday, we gathered in Downtown York, PA Central Market York and enjoyed breakfast from local vendors, @Mezzogiorno, Take Five Expresso Bar, and The Copper Crust Company. We celebrated work anniversaries for four individuals, ranging from 10-20 years! #employeeappreciation

Last evening, we had the opportunity to honor York County School Directors and recognize several individuals for reaching various milestones as we sponsored the York County Alliance for Learning - YCAL School Directors Dinner. As many deadlines are changing due to COVID-19, the Stock and Leader Business Team wants business owners to be aware of one deadline that is not getting pushed back: the Decennial Filing with the Pennsylvania Department of State. The Decennial Filing is required once every ten years in order for Pennsylvania businesses to identify business marks and names that are no longer being used. Active businesses, including corporations, limited liability companies, non-profit corporations, limited partnerships, and limited liability partnerships, must file the form with the Pennsylvania Department of State’s Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations (the Bureau) before the end of the year. Business owners will no longer have the right to exclusive use of their name if they do not file the required report.
