From Bishop Gutiérrez: Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:22) Although we do not yet know the results of the presidential election, it is clear that our diocese is experiencing a range of emotions. Whether it is uncertainty, anxiety, joy, grief, confidence or fear, it is appropriate that we gather as... one people and bring them all before the Holy One in prayer. On Thursday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m., I invite you to gather with me for the beautiful service of Compline. It will be a time a prayer and reflection enhanced by readings of scripture and for us to join together in prayer as one body and one spirit in Jesus Christ. The service will be streamed on our diocesan Facebook page. Until then please join with me in praying for our nation and for one another.

The two discuss how prayer has been integral to the work of peace with justice in South Africa through ministries and advocacy from the environment to racial reconciliation. This season of the Way of Love podcast is sponsored by Church Pension Group, a financial services organization providing employee benefits, property and casualty insurance, and publishing to The Episcopal Church. Follow CPG on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn to learn how it’s been a stable presence in the Church for more than 100 years.

Our by-laws call for the finance commission to report to the parish each fall and so I invite and encourage you to join me tonight at 6:00 p.m. for our finance forum, presented by commission chair Eric Lien. The forum will be conducted over Zoom. Please see yesterday's Keynotes or contact the office for the link.... I wish to thank all the members of the finance commission as well as our treasurers for their wise and diligent ministry. We are fortunate to have a skilled group providing leadership in this important area. Peace, Abigail

We are saddened that scammers have taken to using the Bishop’s name in fake emails to members of the Diocese. In these emails, someone posing as the Bishop is a...sking for communication to happen only through email and for favors and or gift cards to be purchased on their behalf. These emails are not genuine and it is important to note that the Bishop will not ever reach out to individuals looking for such help. Please, block the sender, report the email as spam, and feel free to reach out to Diocesan staff if you have any questions.
