We're back! And we've missed you all. We're opening again for small groups starting January 16 with Covid-19 mitigation policies in place. We'll be returning to our normal hours and encourage folks to come in and work on projects, check out our art supplies and maker resources. Of course with our limited capacity, it's a good idea to message/call & up an appointment, but we have walk-in times for open studios as well! Send a message or an email if you have an idea for a proj...ect! Tacony LAB COVID-19 Policy & Protocol: Masks Must Be Worn inside the Tacony LAB Do not come inside if you are exhibiting any symptoms such as: Fever, Loss of smell, Chills, Headache, Loss of smell or taste... Do not enter if you have been in contact with anyone who has COVID-19 or exhibits the symptoms of COVID-19 (see above) in the last 14 days Please use hand sanitizer and/or wash your hands when you enter Practice social distancing by maintaining at least 6 feet from others at all times General practices Masks must be worn by staff, instructors and all participants and are optional for children Hand sanitizer will be available in each room Paper towels, soap at each sink Tables, knobs, surfaces, etc. are disinfected after each session Any supplies that are used are not to be put away until disinfected Isopropyl alcohol 70% in spray bottles to clean supplies before re-shelving Have extra masks on hand for anyone not having one on entering. All registration will be online via Eventbrite or via telephone All three public areas of the Tacony LAB have been reconfigured so that each room can accommodate participants in classes or open studio sessions with six feet between participants with two people per 6ft table, one at each end. Adult Open Studio Sessions and Adult Classes Adult programming will operate with a minimum of one and maximum of two staff and a maximum of twelve adult participants at any one time. We will maintain capacity by encouraging pre-registration via Eventbrite and telephone. Walk-ins will be welcome only to the point that we reach our stated capacity. Children's Programming The Tacony LAB Summer camp will operate with a minimum of two and maximum of three adult staff. We will have a maximum capacity of ten children per 90 minute session. -Children are encouraged, but not required to wear masks. Staff will meet participants outside the front door Temperatures will be taken when children arrive Arrival/departure times will be staggered to avoid crowding. To maintain capacity, no walk-ins will be permitted. Only those who have been registered will be permitted to attend.
Round 2 of the designs for candy molds came off the 3D printer today!

Lots happening at today’s Friday open studio- we’re here 10-2! Today we have Kathryn painting, the 3D prints are running for the Candy Mold class, Emily is serging (a special type of sewing) and Inkscape is being installed on the iMacs so we are ready for the teen cad class that starts next week.

Our 3 week Make a Pair of Slippers finished tonight. Here's some pictures from tonight.
We have open studio five times per week. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 4pm-8pm and Tuesday and Friday 10am - 2pm. Lots of projects coming along on Tuesdays!

Weaving progress! Emily’s batch of cotton dish towels have come off the loom!
Starting the 3D prints we designed last night in Thermos Lauria’s candy mold making class. They will be done printing in about 7 hours.
Tonight we’re learning some basic 3D modeling. We’ll be making candy molds with these designs once they are 3D printed.
