It’s been a BEAUTIFUL and busy fall at Tayamentasachta! This October, our 3rd graders visited 3 natural communities: a marsh, forest, and field. After exploration and observation, they determined the HOME SWEET HOME of the racing striped cheek stuffer , the sun seeking mobile home dweller , and the soft fluttering nectar sipper to name a few! After learning plants and animals find their home in areas where they are adapted to meet their needs for survival, they explored the forest floor by setting up and providing tours of their micro-parks in Leprechaun National Forest! Humans should only leave footprints behind when visiting natural communities!

Since we are unable to host our Apple festival, you can still enjoy Michael’s BBQ this Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The Environmental Education Advisory Committee announces the cancellation of this year's APPLE FESTIVAL. Due to the amount of volunteers, students, and artisans it takes to prepare for this wonderful event, we will not be able to safely prepare and host our annual festival this year. However, please mark on your calendars OCTOBER 9, 2021 because we have already begun planning for next year's festival!
