Temple University Hospital Labor & Delivery and Maternity Unit wishes everyone a Happy Mother’s Day . Every mother will receive a Special Mother’s Day Gift today. Special thanks to Debbie Fancer, Melieka Young, Lydia Adams, Kim Viola and LaTerese Cowell for making this project possible.

Today our nursing staff was able to give all of our new moms a special Mother’s Day gift! Happy Mother’s Day, ladies!

Did you know that breastfeeding is an infant’s first line of defense against infection? It’s true! Mom’s immunity gets passed on to baby via her breast milk. Breastfed babies have fewer ear infections too. Pass it on! Breast is best!

It's official! Temple University Hospital has achieved Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, considered the highest honor and form o...f recognition for nursing excellence. Only about 8% of U.S. health care organizations have achieved the honor of Magnet status. TUH Nursing leadership and staff joined together this morning to learn the news by phone (and celebrate!).
