Mark Fellner , 64, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. Mark was born in Ellwood City to the late John F. and Camilla A. (DeCampli) Fellner on September 4, 1956. He had graduated from the Lawrence County Area Vocational Technical School with the class of 1974. He then worked at the Aetna Standard Engineering Co. until he enlisted with the U.S. Airforce in 1976. He completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Ba...se in Texas, where he studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special instruction in human relations. He then received technical training at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois in the aircraft maintenance field. He was discharged in 1982. Following his service, he worked for the San Francisco Chronicle in the delivery department. After moving back to Ellwood City he worked as a bartender at the Hazel Manor. He was a member of the S.O.I. #608, and enjoyed bee keeping and reading. He is survived by his sister, Shawn Fellner of Cranberry Twp., and his brother, Kevin Fellner of Ellwood City. A private visitation and Blessing Service will be held for the family on Thursday at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Inurnment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mark’s name may be made to the Ellwood City Area Library.

Karan Marie B-Bo Sokol, 48, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Karan was born on May 8, 1972 in Detroit, MI to Jean (Cavallaro) Sokol. After moving to Ellwood City she became a member of the St. Elias Romanian Church. For many years she was tutored by the Walmo School which is located in New Castle. She enjoyed music, TV, playing cards, books, contact sports, and most of all her nieces and nephews. She is survived by he...r mother Jean Sokol, her sisters, Beth Sokol and Kim (Billy) Chapman all of Ellwood City, her brother, Chris Sokol of Ohio, her aunt, Marlene DeOtto of Cranberry Twp., her niece, Demi Chapman, her nephew, Domenic Chapman, and her cousins, Trisha and Joey. B.Wayne Jacobs, Sr., 80, of Wayne Township passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in the emergency department at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Mr. Jacobs was born on a Friday, October 4, 1940 in Jefferson County, Ohio and often teased all the best people were born in October. Mr. Jacobs was the second eldest son of the late Joseph and Yetta (Baker) Jacobs and grew up with eight brothers and three sisters. Mr Jacobs worked as a welder at the Ellwood City Iron and Wire Co. and later ...as a roofer with Paul Boots and Sons. Having such a large family Mr. Jacobs was both competitive and jovial enjoying many activities from softball, horseshoes, cornhole and bowling to things he was passionate about such as hunting, golf, billiards, the Pittsburgh Steelers and most of all his loving family. He is survived by his companion Patricia L. Pifer, four daughters, Teresa Giffen and Dianna Fresh of Jacksonville, Fla., Tina (Eric) Buchanan of Shenango Twp, Laurie (Dean Edinger) Jacobs of Ellwood City, son, Larry Pifer of Slippery Rock. Eight grandchildren, Anthony (Jessica ) Scoble of Middleburg Fla., Victoria Fresh and Christian Lugo-Fresh of Jacksonville, Fla, Dylan Buchanan of Butler, Colton Buchanan, Brealyn (Jermaine Cuffie) Buchanan both of Shenango Twp. and Laurissa and Jacob Edinger of Ellwood City, four great-grandchildren, Anessa and Lisanna Scoble of Middleburg, Fla. and Kaia and Aria Cuffie of Shenango Twp. Sisters, Shelby Hall of Ellwood City, Sonja (Mark) Boots of Wayne Twp., five brothers, Larry (Barb), David (Joyce), Keith (Docia) and Mark (Anita) of Ellwood City and Jay (Terry) of Harlensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, B. Wayne Jacobs Jr., a sister Edna Schidemantle, brothers Paul, Dennis and Jeffrey. Mr Jacobs lived 29,313 days and he filled them all with love and laughter. Friends and family will be received on Monday from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 7:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Rev. Dennis Arndt officiating. Those attending are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Norina Nicoletta D’ Aloiso Owens, 90, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. Born October 18,1930. Daughter of the late Domenico and Nancy Diserio D’Aloiso. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948, and attended Long Beach Community College (California).... Norina was ordained in 1985 with the Independent Assemblies of God in Laguna Hills, California. She was also .a graduate of the International School of Ministry, and then conducted these schools at His Nesting Place in Long Beach, California, a maternity homePregnancy Help Center, with the first graduating class of22 students in June 2006. She received an’ Honorary Doctorate Degree in 2010 from Endtime Ministries International Bible University, with campuses in California and Hawaii. Norina worked at the Ellwood City Ledger prior to moving to Washington, D.C. where she was employed by the Library of Congress as the Personnel Office Manager. She then moved to California, and served as the Senior Executive Assistant to the Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools. While in California, she founded Women of Faith International, Inc. in 1985. She went on to open seven branches in Kenya, Africa, which also includes homes for orphans and widows. In 2006, she returned to Ellwood City and opened a branch of the Women of Faith International, Inc. She believed in reaching out to people of the community. She began the God Belongs in My City prayer walks, knowing that, only through prayer, would changes be made in the city. She served as the first female Chaplain in Ellwood City. She has been on mission’s trips to Africa, Kosovo, Albania, Israel, and England. Norina authored the book Dancing with the Devil, Life and Death in the Occult which recounts various events in her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George D’ Aloiso, sisters, Esther Marangoni, Emily Greco, Gloria Gabby Waite and Mary Majors. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Francis Chip and Pamela Owens; of Ellwood City; two grandchildren, Francis Owens, III, and Norina (David) Dollen; several great-grandchildren, all of West Virginia, and many nieces and nephews. Due to current conditions with the COVID-19 pandemic there will not be a public service. Interment will be at the Clinton Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. Memorial donations in Norina’s name may be made to the donors charity of choice.

Mrs. Josephine P. Pratt, 92, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. Mrs. Pratt was born in Ellwood City on February 15, 1928 to the late Joseph and Josephine (Valvano) Moliterno. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1944 and the Holy Redeemer Parish. Josephine had worked at Fishers Big Wheel which was located in Franklin Twp. for 18 years as a clerk. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and mostly time spent ...with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Bernadette (Dave) Pelliccioni of Ellwood City, her son, Joe (Marcia) Pratt of Ellwood City, her grandchildren, Danielle (Kraig) Woodhead, Adam Pratt and his fiance Brianna Windon, and Michael (Carly) Pelliccioni, her great-grandchildren, Annabelle Woodhead, Sydney Woodhead, Lyddie Pratt, and Sylvia Pelliccioni, her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Pratt, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Pete Pratt whom she married on July 9, 1949 and passed away on March 23, 2006, her sisters, Emma Iannantuono, Mary Gaibis, Stella Zingaro, Rose George, and Antoinette Moliterno, and her granddaughter-in-law Erin Pratt. A private visitation for the immediate family will be held on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of the Blessing Service at 1:30 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Resurrection Mausoleum. Those attending are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Mrs. Evelyn Jean Lintz, 85 of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 27, 2020 surrounded by her family. Jean was born on June 14, 1935 in Chippewa Twp., Beaver Falls to the late Lawrence and Myrtle (Joy) Chapman. She attended Beaver Falls High School and graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City. She was employed in the office of the Clyde M. Bartly Company Inc., and at Mario’s Giant Eagle where she was the manager of the Deli and Restaurant depar...tments, and later as a cashier from which she retired at the age of 78. Jean was a member of the Christ Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Assistant Director for the Boarshead Festival. She was also a member of the Quilting Group, as she enjoyed sewing and seamstress work. She was very welcoming and her table was always open, she was known for her famous apple dumplings, French pastries and homemade noodles. Jean was loved by all who knew her, she will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her daughters, Karen (James) Berkon of Arlington, VA., and Amy (Mark) Cramer of Ellwood City, her sons, Keith (Carol) Lintz of Southport NC., Jeffrey (Lorena) Lintz of Morgenton, NC., and Kenneth (Lori) Lintz of North Sewickley Twp., her 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her sisters, Edith Swogger of Conway and Helen Simpson of Big Beaver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Lintz whom she married on June 25, 1952 and passed away on October 26, 2009, four bothers and two sisters. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic all services will be private. Interment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Mrs. Barbara J. Bartolomeo, 88, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Avalon Nursing Center in New Castle. Mrs. Bartolomeo was born on January 19, 1932 in New Castle to the late Claude and Ethel (Alsop) Beckman. She is a member of the New Castle High School class of 1950 and the Holy Redeemer Parish. Barbara was a homemaker, an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, and enjoyed going RV camping with her husband. She is survived by her sons, Rick (Linda ) Bart...olomeo of Brookfield, Ohio and Gary (Betty) Bartolomeo of New Castle, and her grandchildren, Dustin (Elisa) Bartolomeo-Damon, Ciera Damon, Tyler Womer, Ryan Bartolomeo, Ashlee, Randy (Jamie) Stottlemire, Rachael (Dan) Flannery, and Rashel Stottlemire, and her ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Josephine Scalzo of New Castle and Audrey Korosen of Mt. Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Angelo J. Bartolomeo Jr. whom she married on June 5, 1954 and passed away on August 15, 2014, her daughter, Patricia J. Kirkham, and her brothers, Glenn Beckman and Edward Beckman. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 7:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Father Philip Farrell officiating. John A. Conti, 77 Mr. John A. Conti, 77, of New Castle, formerly of Ellport, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. John was born on March 16, 1943 in Ellwood City to the late Carmen A. and Nellie A. (Sainato) Conti. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1961 and the Holy Redeemer Parish. John had worked at the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill in Beaver Falls for 18 years as a machinist. He also worked for the Sunoco Serv...ice Station which was on the northside of Ellwood City from 1973 to 1975. After the mill closed, John worked at AIRnet Systems at the Allegheny County Airport for 15 years as a supervisor, and over the years was the owner and operator of several reconditioning shops. An outdoorsman, John had a passion for hunting. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Stavrevich) Conti whom he married on June 22, 1963, his daughters, Christine (Mike) Locke of Ellport and Karen (Mike) Covert of Ellwood City, his son, Jay Conti of Boyers, PA, his grandchildren, Michael Locke, Samantha Russell, Christian Covert, and Taylor Covert, and his great-grandchildren, Wren Russell and Isla Locke. He is also survived by his sister, Loretta Conti of Ellwood City. He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws Boris and Evelyn Stavrevich. A private visitation and service will be held for the family on Tuesday at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Father Philip Farrell and Rev. Bruce Rosa officiating. Inurnment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mr. Conti’s name may be made to the Holy Redeemer Angel Fund. Mrs. Marjorie J. "Margie" Malush, 83, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the Northview Estates. Mrs. Malush was born on January 18, 1937 in Heidelberg, Pa to the late Stanley and Helen (Harbin) Kasperowski. She had graduated from the Bridgeville High School with the class of 1955. For many years Marjorie worked for the Army Corp. of Engineers at the Federal Building in Pittsburgh where she was in charge of the travel department. Following her retireme...nt she became a volunteer with the Ellwood City Hospital Auxillary. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, flower gardening, country music, and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Michele (Mike) Doban of Harmony, her sons, Tom (Debbie) Malush of Baldwin, Eugene Malush of Baldwin, and Paul (Nancy) Malush of Smock, PA, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, her brother James Kasper of Bethel Park, and her sister-in-law Blanche Kasperowski. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John E. Malush whom she married in June of 1960 and passed away in 1986, her brother Stanley Kasperowski, and her sister-in-law Mary Kasper. As per Mrs. Malush's wishes there will not be a public visitation or service. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
