Go ahead, make fun of me: one of the biggest challenges I face when traveling back in time is coping with historic hygiene. If I had to live the rest of my life with only soap to wash myself, I'd probably just swallow the bar so that I could choke on it and be done. I have no idea how people back then ever felt clean.

For the past three days, my neighbor's fox has been getting into my yard. He doesn't really cause much trouble but I worry that if he gets too close to the bee feeder, he may have a bad day. I keep meaning to figure out *how* he's getting in, but he never seems to come or go while I'm actually watching. Sly fox.

I spent almost a week stuck in China during the Ming Dynasty. Main power went offline for some reason and the emergency backup battery was apparently defective. Luckily, my travel plan was on file and the Time Travel Safety Board sent a rescue bot. I have a lot of work to catch up on. On the plus side, I got to watch several vases being crafted, so at least I made good use of the down time.
