We have been discussing Christianese, which are terms the church uses which don’t make any sense to the outside world(and sometimes the inside one as well) and attempting to define and bring them meaning. This week we’ll be covering Dying to Self. Join us in person or Zurch!

Excited for the second entry in our "Christianese" sermon series - what does the Church mean when it says "You are Loved"?

What a way to end 2020. Today I was honored to deliver the last of our three drives to Turning Point of Lehigh Valley. Thank you Gaters for all your hard work and generosity! You are such a blessing to us and our greater community! Amazing. Just amazing.

This Sunday we're excited to welcome Bethann Miller, who will be sharing a very important message with us about fear and anxiety, specifically around the pandemic and other 2020 stuff. Join us live or on Zoom at 10.

Friends, I need your help. For years I’ve been thinking about doing a sermon series entitled Christianese which discusses words and language we use in church which may not make sense to the outside world. I’m finally doing it! So what are some words which you’ve heard or used which fit the category? I’ll get us started. Born again. Ready? Go!

Friends, this Xmas eve we will be gathering interactively online. Although this is very different(thanks 2020!), it’s still us and will be engaging in worship, conversation, and communion. If you’d like to join us, let me know. We have a special care package for you!

So when people say be the church this is what they mean. This year we had the opportunity to serve three local organizations and thanks to the generosity and sweat equity of our Gaters we were able to purchase gifts New Bethany Ministries(delivery tomorrow), Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley(delivery Monday), and Gracedale. These are the photos are of the gifts for Gracedale. Thanks to Jackie Sandt and Janet Pressler for all your hard work in going out and doing the shopping! Thanks to Karlene for connecting us! Also, thanks so much to Matthew Abraham and Michelle Kimberly for doing the shopping for Turning Point!(photos to come) They say big churches can do big things. So can little guys.

Hello, friends. First, let me say how much our hearts are hurting for our small business owner friends. Please pray for them but also support them by ordering take out or buying gift cards. With that said, the state has exempted churches from this new shutdown. Therefore we will continue meet on Sunday mornings with masks and sanitizers in tow. Also, if you believe you’ve been around someone who was exposed to COVID-19 or are awaiting your own test results, please join us for Zurch. We love and appreciate you and look forward to seeing you all in person or Zurch!!

From our good friend, Tammy... Hi Gaters!! I wanted to put out a request for volunteers and an opportunity to help feed the hungry guys down at the Victory House this month. We are signed up to provide a meal next Thursday 12/17/20 and are in need of people to help cook a meal to provide. They are not open to the public so it would be a meal made at home and dropped off at their building. I would be more than happy to run the food from you to them if you’re able to help but n...ot available to travel. Please let me know, message me here if you are interested and available and I can give you more info. I was also thinking, if it helps ease the burden, if we get a couple of volunteers we can each make a piece of the meal, I know my kitchen isn’t big enough for lots of cooking but it’s well suited for a side dish maybe we can work together to make this season really special in a small way
