Springtime Tonics - Wednesday, March 31st - 6:30 pm Appalachian Folk medicine considers spring time as a time to cleanse and detoxify our bodies after a long sluggish winter of little movement and not as fresh a diet. In this class, we will explore the herbs used in "Spring Tonic" teas and explore other ways to detox our bodies with baths, foot soaks, and flowery herb steam facials. Participants will each make a custom bottle of "Spring Tonic Vinegar" using herbs and roots discussed in class to take home. All supplies are included. Flatbreads and Spreads - New Class! Tuesday, March 23rd. Debbie Hartman of Thyme with Debbie will return to share her talents with us! Flatbreads are a major part of the Mediterranean diet. They don't get soggy, and they make great sandwiches or provide a conduit for dips. Debbie will demonstrate the preparation of assorted flatbreads from the Middle East. Of course, we 'knead' something to put on our flatbread, so assorted Middle Eastern spreads will be highlighted.
