Thornwood Farm

Well, summer is officially over (but not really) and to commemorate the Covid-19 summer of 2020 here are a few photos from the Thornwood Farm Rona Classic Aug. 30th., which we held up on our hill in the jumping field (on grass!) for clients present & past. We had great weather, great friends & food, and a great social-distancing time! Thank you everyone who attended. Such a good time was held by all that I guess we'll do it again next year, but without the virus I hope! There were several categories for equitation and turn-out awards, but the one I didn't consider and should have was a "best horse of the show" award, which I now award to TK, photo below with his two successful riders. He is SUCH a good horse, thank you Courtney for sharing him with us.

Hello everyone! While our lives are on hold awaiting coronavirus updates and openings, I thought I would post a picture of happier, easier times. Here is a pic from Stonegate Farm, our last IHSA Spring show before the big shutdown. We were Reserve High Point team that day! Thanks for working so hard! I hope we'll be back in the fall, but that won't be determined for quite awhile yet, so in the meantime ride whenever you can but most of all follow the CDC guidelines and stay safe.

Hi All! Since it's winter I thought I would post an e-team picture that is from a sunnier, warmer date. This one is from the September show at WVU. It does look nice and warm compared to our recent weater. A new year and a new semester is underway, so here are a few e-team dates for the near future: Jan. 27: 8pm, our first team meeting for the Spring Semester. Feb. 6-7: First week of team lessons.... Feb. 23: First team show, Cal U and W&J co-host at Seton HIll March 7-8: Stonegate show weekend. It's the beginning of Spring Break, so we will not have lessons that week after the show. March 27: Last week of team lessons. March 28: Grier School Show in Tyrone PA March 29: Regional Show at Grier School. April 4: Zone 2 show at St. Lawrence University in Canton NY That's all I have for now, stay warm and see you soon...
