The PUA Unemployment website is now able to start processing weekly certification claims. The website is rather slow, but it is operational.

I'm sure some of you have seen issues where Stimulus checks are being deposited into their tax preparers account. We can ASSURE you that will not happen with any of our tax clients. This is occurring when an individual elected for rapid refund, advance loans, etc. This is not a program that we have or will participate in. That being said, we cannot answer questions such as when will we get our stimulus money, why is it not the amount we expected, how will we get it? This is... a program that was written and executed rapidly and there are certainly some flaws. We are not saying that we will not help or offer some guidance, but we do not know much more than you do at this time. If you look at the IRS.GOV website there is a link to enter direct deposit information. However, there have been repeated problems with it - we have not been able to enter our own personal information. The only thing we can offer at this time is to try again the next day if needed. We will all get through this and be stronger for overcoming this battle. Please take care. See more

Please remember when you get your stimulus check to make note somewhere of the amount. That amount will be required on your 2020 tax return. There is no payback of this, and this will not reduce your refund. The amount will need to be know to make sure you did get the correct amount, if you are due more then it will be credited on your 2020 return.

The IRS has launched the site to enter direct deposit information for the Economic Impact Payments (Stimulus check). This is for taxpayers who did not have their refund direct deposited. If you have received a paper check, did not receive a refund or owed with your tax return you can now enter your direct deposit information. ***There have been various issues with the site not working this morning. Please be patient and try again later, I am sure that the site is overloaded.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has now provided a web portal for non-filers to provide the information necessary to receive an economic impact payment. For ...the purposes of this web portal, a "non-filer" is defined as an individual that either did not file a 2018 or 2019 federal income tax return due to the amount of their annual gross income or they weren't required to file a 2018 or 2019 federal income tax return due to other reasons. The IRS has indicated that a separate web portal will become available in the coming days to allow taxpayers who did file to check the status of their payment or to update their bank account information to receive an economic impact payment by direct deposit rather than by mail. Additional information can be found at the link below. https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments

Thank you everyone for such cooperation and understanding during these times. We are processing returns as quickly as possible. That being said for our health and well being, we are taking a day off for some rest. We are not working at all the hours of those on the front line, and to them we say THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS. Remember, this to shall pass.

During this unprecedented time, things are changing on a daily some times hourly basis. Late yesterday we were changed to a necessary business and were granted permission to open. We have made the decision at this time to still proceed with the procedures we put in place yesterday. Drop off or mail. I'm sure you have also seen that filing date has been extended to July 15. We will look at things again in a week and decide if we will continue with mail in and drop off proc...edures or will reopen the office. We hope you all understand that this is as much for our clients benefit as well as our own. Our phone is forwarding to my cell, so if you have any questions or concerns please call 849-0001. We have after much thought, decided to close our office to clients. We have placed a bin outside the front door for you to place your tax papers in, there are envelopes, note paper and pens there for any additional information you may need to provide us. Our side door is open if you need to stick your head in and discuss anything with us. We hope that you all understand this decision, we are concerned not only for our health but for your's as well. (John has been dealing w...ith some health issues and I am concerned about possibly taking an illness home to him.) Please know that we will all get through this together. Please call our office if you have any questions or concerns. 814-849-0001 Thanks for your patience and understanding, Tina, John, Stephanie and Penny See more
