Hello!! This is Jamie...I personally called the PA State Board of Cosmetology, to ask for clarification of the mask rule. I was told, we are 100% allowed to follow the PA Department of Health rules. Their rules state that any vaccinated person may go unmasked. Any unvaccinated person shall remain masked. Businesses are allowed to make their own decisions on whether or not to allow patrons to go unmasked. We will be following the rules the PA Department of Health has suggested.... If you are vaccinated, feel free to enter Trendz without a mask. If you are unvaccinated, we ask that you please wear a mask over your nose and mouth. We, however, will NOT be discussing anyone’s vaccine status. This is your personal, medical information and we are not at liberty to do so. If you would like your stylist to have a mask on, please speak to her directly about that. Our social distancing procedures will remain in effect at this time. Everyone was excited to hear of the mask changes today. We, however, are a licensed establishment and must follow all rules and regulations that are implemented by the PA State Board of Cosmetology. This means, so far, nothing has changed. Jamie will be checking for updates daily and we will let you know as soon as any changes are made. To address the VACCINES: We will NOT be asking clients of their vaccination status nor will we be giving out our personal vaccination status as we believe this is a personal medical decision and private information. Please refrain from asking your stylist if they’ve been vaccinated or what their thoughts are on the Covid-19 vaccine. We realize many have strong opinions and we want the salon atmosphere to remain calm and welcoming.

Some of you have noticed you are not bothered by allergies, while at Trendz. Here’s why...we recently had an air purification system, hooked up to our HVAC system. It has been an amazing change for all of us!!! If you’d like to read about it, I’ll post the link. Happy Friday!!!!!!! As of April 4th, our rules have changed a tad. We are allowed to operate at 75%. What does that change?? Well, not much. You may see more people and stylists in the salon at one time. Nothing else has really changed. Masks, over your nose and mouth, are still required by the State Board of Cosmetology. Please remember...these are not our rules, but our rules to follow. We are choosing to follow them, to be compliant with the state, so we can continue to stay open and to keep you all looking fabulous! Thank you all for sticking with us through all of this craziness!!! We appreciate each one of you SO much!!

It looks like they are calling for a very active weather week!!!! Please be sure to check your phones for texts or calls from your stylist, if you have an appointment this week. If you see snow on the road and it looks bad, chances are someone called you. Expecting the worst and hoping for the best!!!
