Vote vote vote please vote. From Amanda Chudnow (our board president): Philadelphia Voters: Planning to vote tomorrow? Here are some helpful things to know. If you have a mail-in ballot and want to drop it off you CAN'T do that at your polling location. You must bring it to a drop box or satellite location by 8 pm. Unlike the polls, you have to drop it off by 8, not be in line to drop it off by 8 pm. DO NOT PUT IT IN THE MAIL.... If you have a mail-in ballot but want to vote at the machines you need to bring your ballot AND your declarations envelope (the outer envelope, not the secrecy envelope, if you're unsure just bring it all) to your polling location to be spoiled/surrendered. If you applied for a mail-in ballot but never received it, filled yours out wrong, or otherwise need a new one you need to go to a satellite location to get a new mail-in ballot and submit it. BUT THIS HAS TO BE DONE BY 6:30, despite the fact that those locations are open until 8 pm. If it is past 6:30 you will have to go to your polling location and vote via a provisional ballot. If you submitted your mail-in ballot but it is still marked as "pending" and not "recorded" you can go to a satellite location to get a replacement ballot. If you aren't sure if you have applied for a mail-in ballot you can check your status online: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/Pages/BallotTracking.aspx If you aren't sure where your polling location is this year you can check online (there will be 718 locations open in Philly): https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/Pa/PollingPlaceInfo.aspx If you want to vote tomorrow but aren't sure if you are registered, you can check that online too: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov//voterregistrationstatu If you have an emergency tomorrow (like a COVID positive test result) and need to figure out how to vote check out this information for Emergency Absentee Ballots: https://www.votespa.com//Pa/Mail-and-Absentee-Ballot.aspx If you want to find your nearest satellite center or ballot drop box go here: https://www.phila.gov/voting/

The Fringe Festival is here and we want to say #ShineOn to our friend Irina Varina and other artists who have created the few "In Real Life" performances listed this year. Most of the festival is online, but some have safely enjoyed this ambulatory, socially distanced performance "Walk with Death for 30 minutes, each of you on opposite sides of the street. Death is sorry she (he/they) doesn’t have more time. She’s kinda busy these days. For one person. Outside. Rain or shine. https://fringearts.com/event/an-encounter/ Photo credit: Kestin Mica
