Arcadia University student and former TTF intern, Katie, recently joined us for a planting within a newly restored wetland She brought along her friends, wrote this thoughtful blog, and volunteered to help plant a total of 500 perennials and 150 trees and shrubs! Today we’re featuring one of our Watershed Milestones Award Winners, Migdalia Rosado! Migdalia is a dear friend to TTF, having participated with her family in many of our bird and nature walks and serving as a strong advocate for #TaconyCreekPark. She even spoke at the Philadelphia City Council hearing in support of #PlasticBagLegislation and regularly picks up trash along the trail using our Cleanup Kit. Our watershed and park are becoming healthier spaces for all to enjoy, thanks to caring and active volunteers like Migdalia! Tune-in for the virtual Award Ceremony November 12 at 6:30pm.
