It is wet and rainy here this afternoon at Camp Tuckahoe, but we have been spared any severe storms. The forecast up until about 7pm still looks rainy so tonight's Restart Scouting Summit will be in the Dining Hall! See you tonight!

There is no better way to "restart Scouting" than by stepping into the outdoors with friends and exploring. The New Birth of Freedom Council will be taking two crews to the Philmont Scout Ranch next summer June 14-28 to experience some of the best high adventure opportunities Scouting offers. Scouts and leaders will trek across a fraction of the 140,177 acres of rugged mountain wilderness in the Sangre de Cristo Range of the Rocky Mountains in northeastern New Mexico. A Philmont Trek is a challenge, but one that brings memories, team building, personal growth, and skill development. Are you ready for adventure? As you prepare to restart Scouting, have you taken a look at your October unit calendar yet? Halloween Day, held Saturday, October 23, is the perfect way for families and units to come together to enjoy the beautiful fall weather at Camp Tuckahoe. Cub Scouts, Webelos, parents, siblings, and leaders are all welcome. Those who attend will be able to participate in BB gun shooting, Sling Shot shooting, games, activities, tasty treats, BYO-pumpkin carving/painting, and crafts. Plus, everyone is highly encouraged to wear a costume to really get into the Halloween spirit. Learn more at https://tinyurl.com/halloweenday2021.
