Derrick got his new standing wheel chair today! David is already talking about "modifications" to make it go faster...

The Junior Sens will be selling 50/50's during our 6 remaining regular season home games, all funds raised will be given to our 2015-2016 Wilkes-Barre Miners Ca...ptain #21, Derrick Wruble, who was involved in an accident which left him paralyzed. Our final season in WB as the Miners prior to our relocation & rebranding as the Binghamton Jr Senators was a challenging one. Unlike being at the top of the standings as we are this season, it was the exact opposite last year. When given the opportunity to be traded so he could finish his final year of Junior hockey with a team headed to playoffs he, along with his teammates, declined, the only championship they wanted to play for was with the Miners. Team loyalty is hard to come by, true character shows in difficult times, our stats certainly didn't reflect our hearts. Derrick was able to make it out with t...he support of Good Sheppard and Derrick & Don even made it on the News! Thank you to everyone who made this a success. It's official! Good Shepherd is transporting Derrick and a small medical team for tonight's event. He's very excited! He's been in the hospital/rehab since November 2nd and has to spend a few more weeks there so this will be a nice break for him. Hope to see you there!!
