This afternoon DFES personnel, Black Rock Vol Fire Co., and the Upper Providence Township Police Department accepted a gracious donation of three Weber smoke pellet grills from our local Lowe's Home Improvement in Oaks, PA. We’d like to thank you for your generosity! Our personnel are very thankful and look forward to using the new grills in the near future! #UPTDFES #loweshomeimprovement #ThankYou
Daylight savings time ends this coming weekend, November 1, 2020. It's always a good time to change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors! Here are some quick safety tips to help keep you safe at home:
This. If you need assistance with replacement or installation of smoke alarms (or carbon monoxide alarms), please reach out to us at [email protected] Smoke alarms save lives. Properly functioning smoke alarms are critical in providing the early warning you and your family need to escape in the event of a fire.
If there are kids trick-or-treating in your local area this week, drive with extra caution. Avoid distractions, stay alert and drive at a safe speed.
Please be aware of the temporary detour below.

Yesterday afternoon Lower Providence Fire Department brought the new Tower 53 to the Upper Providence Township Municipal Campus to provide an overview of the apparatus, its capabilities, and associated equipment. It is important for our personnel to be familiar with mutual aid apparatus/equipment that we will be working with on a regular basis. We’d like to thank the members of Station 53 that came to provide the demonstration. That demonstration paid off this morning wh...en UPDFES and Black Rock Vol Fire Co. assisted Station 53 with ventilation on a building fire assignment on Mill Grove Drive. The fire was contained to a ventilation fan. Great job to the residents for their quick and efficient use of a fire extinguisher. #OneTeamOneMission #UPDFES See more
DFES Personnel are proud to contribute to the food drive underway by our police department as well as other county police departments. This food drive is in support of Montgomery County Children and Youth Services in order to help provide Thanksgiving dinners for families suffering financial hardship. Have you donated yet? Drop off your contribution at the Upper Providence Police Department lobby on Black Rock Road before the end of October! #OneTeamOneMission Senator Katie Muth
Today is National Slow Down, Move Over Awareness Day. Whenever you see an emergency vehicle including a fire truck, ambulance, police car or tow truck, it is th...e law that you move over to give them a safe working space. If it’s not possible to move over please slow down to keep a safe work zone. The BRVFC takes this very serious with the many busy roads in our response area including a long strip of Rt. 422. Help keep us safe by moving over! #MoveOver #drivesafe #brvfc See more
Please be aware of possible slippery road conditions this morning especially in the area of Yeager Road and Willowbrooke Lane.
Some good reminders about safe vehicle operation on wet roads!
