FINALLY!! June 5th is our official reopen date and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Today, I had the privilege to get interviewed by Alyssa Choiniere of the Herald Standard regarding the new protocol we will be taking at the salon after we reopen. I’ll be sure to share the article once it goes to print. I’ve missed keeping you all beautiful as much as you’ve missed getting your hair done, but as I’ve said from day one, the wellness of my clients is of the utmost importance. ... Some changes in our operation will be necessary, including but not limited to wearing face masks, regular thorough sanitation of the salon and all products frequently used, and limiting clients to one at a time in the salon. If this is our new norm for the foreseeable future, please rest assured, I will be doing everything in my power to give my clients the best experience possible when entering my salon door. During this time of confusion, our identities that are attached to our work and the things that we are passionate about can be lost. It’s difficult for everybody. I tend to be a rule follower and have tried to take this time to focus on the things that I CAN control. One of those things being a total freshen-up and revamp at the salon, both inside and out! We’ve been working hard to breathe new life to the exquisite aesthetics that 200+ year old building has to offer. ... Additionally, I have been delving into some wonderful cosmetology continuing education online. So while I’d certainly like to be able to take care of my clients, I’m really trying to make the best use of my time. Time that we wouldn’t have otherwise. I want to thank all of my clients for their kindness and patience in this time of chaos. Who really knows what the right answers are right now? I promise that when I do get the ok to reopen, I will do everything within my power and go to the ends of the earth to accommodate YOU...my clients...who all mean so much to me.
