Happy Thanksgiving from Millersville Ice Hockey! We are thankful for all of our supporters and fans that continue to stick with our team through it all, especially with current days unprecedented times. We show gratitude toward our players, coaches, and staff for all the time and effort they dedicate to Ville hockey. Here are some of our players and what they are most thankful for this Thanksgiving season. We hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and turkey filled day!

Dear Millersville, It’s with a heavy heart that we announce that the league has decided to cancel the winter season due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. We are as crushed as you all, but we are hoping to be back on the ice in our normal fashion for the fall of 2021. We hope you will all join us at the Coliseum on Carrera Drive for many more exciting seasons to come. To our seniors: Thank you for all the time, dedication, and hard work you have given this team, this institution, and this community during your time here. We wish you the best of luck in your futures both in hockey and life. Stay tuned for any more announcements regarding the league, future return to play, and the Millersville Ice Hockey program. Brian Page, a U18 AAA hockey player for the Philadelphia Little Flyers, was severely injured during a game and taken to Jefferson Hospital for emergency surgery. He is facing serious injuries and has an extensive recovery and long journey ahead of him. There is a Go Fund Me link down below where any amount of contributions are being accepted. MU Hockey goalie Mat Schroeder sits down to answer your questions on this week's edition of Know Your Marauders!

This weeks pup of the week belongs to Junior netminder Mat Schroeder! Meet Tank, a Black mouth Cur Mix. He’s 4 years old, and his favorite pastime Loves to lay in bed and watch NHL Network. Mat will also be featured on this weeks Know your Marauders, send in your questions!

This weeks pup(s) of the week belong to head coach, Scott McGillivary! First off we have Zooey! A black Burmese mountain dog and black lab mix! 6 years old, Total sweetheart. All bark, no bite. Loves Grandpa the most. Paws you leg for steak at the table. Most likely to run from an intruder. Just wants you to love her. Next we have Pig-Pig! A 5 year old French Bulldog and Boston Terrier Mix. Enjoys butt scratches. snorts like a pig. Ruthless. Everything on her terms. Loves to flip the middle claw. Loves to roast by the fire (pig roasts). And Attacks delivery boxes harder than Dave Andrews hits on the ice!

To all moms and especially to ours: Thank you for the countless hours spent in cold rinks, the many miles traveled, the endless work to help us do what we love. This day is for you; Happy Mother’s Day!

Next on our list for Know your Marauders is freshman/sophomore/junior (we’re not really sure what he is) defenseman #10 Brett Vacarelo! Brett was a big addition to the marauder blue line this past year after transferring in from Keene University. Send us your questions and he’ll answer them this coming Tuesday!
