An Open Letter To My Patients Let me start by telling all of you that I value each and every one of you and it has been my pleasure to care for you for the last 30 years. I have tried my best to be there for you and provide you with the best possible care. But now, I must ask something from you. I need your support. This is a difficult time to provide dental care to patients. We are undoubtedly a very high risk profession. My staff and I are confident in our ability to prov...ide a safe environment and maintain a high standard of care. We have adjusted our protocols in accordance with The Department of Health, OSHA, and ADA recommendations. However, many patients see this as an infringement of their rights. We hear, " If I knew I had to do this, I would have cancelled my appointment" and "I won't be back" on a daily basis. I am giving up on trying to convince anyone that wearing a mask, having your temperature taken, and getting a pulse oximeter reading prior to treatment, can reduce risk of Covid transmission in my office. Instead, I'm asking you to do it simply to support me. If that is too much to ask, please politely stay home. We will welcome you back when the environment is safer and screening protocols aren't necessary. Again, I care about each and every one of you and I want what is best for you. But I don't want daily arguments about mask wearing and I certainly don't welcome harsh treatment of my staff. I will continue to be there for you throughout the years.
