2020 sure was an eventful year. Here is a year in review..

Congratulations to Deputy Chief Rynearson and Member Jennifer on the arrival of a beautiful baby girl! Mom dad and baby are doing well. Your brothers and sisters at the firehouse wish your family a lifetime of blessings.

Something a little ironic!! The new Utility has red rims just like Squad 51 from the show Emergency!! The first show was January 15, 1972!! On the same date 49 years later we take delivery of our new piece!!

Well since you all have been patiently waiting here is our news we have been talking about! Utility 75 is the newest truck that we add to our fleet! Thank you all for your continuous support! Now stay tuned as we add all of our equipment to get it ready for service!

Members have been quite busy the last couple weeks, your volunteers have been gearing up for the winter months, making sure all the tools and equipment is ready as always. Station 75 along with a good amount of our neighboring departments cover The Nep Snow Trails, so if you happen to see this side x side on the Waymart trails today it was just a few of our members familiarizing the trails, this buggy may be used on any of the trail system in case of an emergency. Thank you to all of you who continue to support your local volunteers.

The members and officers want to thank everyone for there continued support. Today was our 29th annual Christmas raffle. Santa and Mrs Claus were at the hall to hand out treat bags to the children and to help pick the winners for the BIG raffle prizes. Then we took to the streets with Santa and his bride to hand out what treat bags we had left. Santa and Mrs Claus enjoyed seeing all the little boys and girls out to see them as we drove by. Again thank you for your support and have a Very Merry Christmas!

As we are nearing the end of our Christmas Raffle we want to let everyone in the Waymart Area know we will be driving Santa and Mrs.Clauss around! Thank you all for your continued support.

Our Christmas Raffle is quickly approaching. Remember to return your tickets as soon as possible. With the mail slowed down because of extra volume and the storm approaching please get your tickets returned ASAP. Members can accept your tickets and we have a box by the front door where you can deposit your envelopes. There are 106 prizes this year and we don't want anyone to miss out!

2020 Christmas Raffle Tickets are available! Drawing is December 20th.

The 29th Annual Christmas Raffle Tickets are on the way! The letters were dropped off at the Waymart Post Office on Friday Nov 27th and should be delivered shortly. All Waymart and South Canaan addresses should receive an envelope with 10 tickets, a brief letter and a return envelope enclosed. If you do not receive a letter please check with your mail carrier or the Post Master. Additional tickets are available from Fire Company Members or can be found at Waymart Building Center, Brundage's Pharmacy or 1st Choice Chiropractic. The suggested donation is $1 per ticket. This year we have a record 106 prizes valued at over $6,500! Don't miss your chance to become one of this year's lucky winners! The drawing will be held on Sunday December 20th at 2 pm.

The day has come for this guy to go in to the Air Force. He started with us as a junior member a few years back. Please keep Jacob Sheperd in your thoughts. With the County being in the Green now, we have decided to stop with the birthday runs. We appreciate all the calls for us to come out and help brighten your day. Trust me, we all had fun doing it!! The officers and members would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for their support in our latest fundraiser. It was a great success for us. We completely SOLD OUT of 750 chicken dinners. We can not thank you all enough.

We would like to thank everyone for their incredible support and would like to notify everyone that our Chicken BBQ is SOLD OUT! We originally had planned to cook 500 dinners but steadily increased the number to 725. Arrangements are being made to start the cooking earlier and to increase the size of our pit to accommodate the record number of dinners sold. With COVID-19 some of our fund raisers may be changed or cancelled. The support from the public is overwhelming and we thank you all for standing behind us during these times.

Tonight we had the honor of escorting the Seniors of Western Wayne High School to there graduation from the Robert D Wilson school. Congratulations to the Class of 2020. Good luck in all your future endeavors.

Waymart Fire Company's fight against COVID-19 On Wednesday nights you will usually see our members at the fire hall. Because of the Corona-virus we are practicing social distancing. Since we can’t get together in one room for training we have taken the training to our homes. April 1st was our first on-line class. Our members logged in with their computers and phones using Zoom and started a multiple week class on leadership. The first class went well. It allowed us to contin...ue our education and helped us to get together as a group. COVID-19 will not slow us down. We will continue using Zoom for training and will also try to hold our monthly meeting this way. It’s important to us to stick together so that we may continue to protect our community.

The officers and members would like everyone to know that we will be there when there is an Emergency. With the scare of the Corona virus we have ceased all non essential activities at the firehall. Again we will be there for calls but our weekly work nights, trainings and meetings have been put on hold. So if you don't see us around the station, rest assured we will be there when needed. As many other departments have posted the Large fire at Aldenville Log and Lumber. We along with many other departments responded to assist Browndale Volunteer Fire Company. Your volunteers fought in to the early morning hours to help bring this blaze under control. We would also like to thank Beach Lake Volunteer Fire Company for providing our coverage area with an Engine and manpower in case a emergency arose while we were out. Your volunteers just returned from an evening of training with neighboring mutual aid dept, Lake Ariel Fire. 12 members and a group of about the same from Lake Ariel, worked on throwing ladders, hose line advancement and search & rescue. We would like to thank the Lake Ariel Fire Co for the invite.
