Kaitlyn Jones, Holcad Sports Reporter. #WhyIWearAMask I wear a mask because I myself am at risk due to a heart condition I have, but I also want to protect ot...hers around me who are also at risk along with any other people they know that can be affected. I wear a mask to honor the We in Westminster. I wear a mask for all my student-athletes, so that they can have a season despite the circumstances. I wear a mask so that my fellow seniors and I can at least be on campus and hopefully have a somewhat normal graduation in May. So I ask that even if you aren’t at risk or if you just think that this whole thing is bogus that you are still considerate of those around you who are at risk everyday. Just because you can’t physically see how someone is being affected doesn’t mean they aren’t. We’re very fortunate to even be on campus this fall, so please follow the guidelines that are in place to protect everyone. Be safe, be kind and wear a mask. #MotherFair See more

On Wednesday we had 37 new COVID-19 cases in a day, and today we have 83 new cases in a day. In 2 DAYS we've DOUBLED amount of new cases. The exponential growth... of new cases + new counties where they're detected show we need the aggressive steps Governor Tom Wolf implemented. One thing that EVERYONE can do NOW to control the spread of COVID-19 is to STAY HOME and limit your interactions to your immediate family.

In an unprecedented moment for higher education, students continue to lead the way with innovative, creative, and impactful ideas to support the mental health needs of their peers. This interactive meeting and discussion, led by Active Minds, will share strategies students have employed to maintain connection, educate and support mental health and wellness, and build community at a time of increased anxiety, isolation, and instability among students. This special event is limited to 100 student participants.
