Attention Members! We have some exciting news! The River Valley Regional YMCA is now offering Virtual Group Exercise Classes for our members! We are featuring classes from all 6 of our locations and will be adding more throughout the month. Visit our website for more at www.rvrymca.org! The page isn't finished yet, but classes start at 5:30am Monday. You will need your barcode number from the back of your membership card to participate. Here's a peak at the schedule!!!

As we know this year has been tough, and with the recent mandate, it’s gotten a lot tougher. If you can help through these tough times, we have a few #GivingTree tags left. As we celebrate the end of 2020 and look forward to what the New Year may bring, let’s look back and remember the good things from this past year. First and foremost, we would like to thank our members, volunteers and staff who stayed with us and supported our efforts to keep our community strong. You are what made everything we did possible. The River Valley Regional YMCA found new ways to serve not only our members, but our community as well. We partnered with other organiz...ations to serve food and supplies to those in need. We worked with the American Red Cross to host blood drives and help combat blood shortages. We reached out to our senior members for well-checks, and provided online wellness resources. Once we were able to open our Child Care Facilities we gave children a safe place while parents went back to work and provided School Age Child Care while schools were remote. We learned how to be creative with spacing out equipment and following all the guidelines given to us. A few branch specific highlights include: Our Bradford County Branch successfully moved to being a 24 hour facility providing more time for members to come in due to limited capacity. We are excited to announce the Tioga County Branch will soon be 24 hours as well! The Williamsport Branch helped more than 50 local families with food and gifts for Christmas and the Eastern Lycoming Branch held a warm clothing drive for families in their Safe Spaces Program. The Lock Haven Branch held a drive-up food pantry and our Jersey Shore Branch helped distribute thousands of free student lunches. Over the Edge Williamsport 2020 climbed to new heights with a rappel from the roof of the Genetti Hotel in downtown Williamsport. We look forward to planning Over the Edge 2021 with the YWCA of Northcentral PA and the Williamsport Area School District Education Foundation. Due to today’s announcement of new State temporary mitigation efforts - All River Valley Regional YMCA facilities will be closed starting Saturday, December 12 to Monday, January 4, 2021. Our Childcare Programs will still continue at all locations we are serving for those families who need to remain in the workforce. Please contact your local branch if you are in need of care for your children. Please stay tuned for additional information.
