Mr. Clyde is happy to be with the herd again. He’s been enviously watching them eating grass while he was still on a hay diet the past few months. That mouthful looks like he is making up for lost time.

Normally in the spring I do a round through some of the local elementary schools to talk about what it’s like to be a farmer. This year the kiddos got to visit my farm through a video tour. There is nothing quite so heartwarming as receiving 30+ thank you cards in the mail. My favorite, thank you for teaching us about ice cream grass. Translation: clover. They were listening!

Everybody’s out enjoy this warm rain and I mean...everybody. I can almost hear the cattle sighing with the cool relief and the pigs are plotting to make their small patch of grass into a mud pit before this evening.
