It's Not Your Fault... Black Americans have been conditioned to accept less and the same is true when it comes to protecting our families with life insurance. It was a very common practice in the past for insurance agents to strategically educate and offer the bare minimum final expense policies to Black families. While other cultures have used this vehicle to create and transfer multigenerational wealth, the majority of the Black Community have yet to realize the true value ...of what this financial vehicle can do. We've gone from passing the hat in church to GoFundMe campaigns as a means of barely covering funeral costs. It's not your fault. You've simply been misguided and underserved for generations. I became a life insurance agent because I wanted a career where I could make a difference in the lives of others and my community. I continue my education as a financial service professional because after working the industry for nearly a decade I've come to learn more about the racial wealth gap and I'm here to help fix it! The time is now. Over the past several months I've been actively participating on a new journey as God continues to guide me.
