Due to CDC guidelines for COVID-19, and the concern for the safety of our community, it is with deepest regrets that Lighting of the Greens will not be held in person this year. To continue the tradition of bringing holiday cheer to Borough residents, the Borough of Wyomissing Recreation Board will host a virtual Lighting of the Greens via YouTube. The modified event will host local musical talent from Wyomissing High School band and Camerata and the ever-popular lighting of ...the stone house to officially begin the holiday season. So be sure to join us with your mug of hot cocoa and your comfy clothing, on Saturday, December 5th at 5pm via YouTube (link will be posted here on Facebook and the Borough website) and allow us to be part of your holiday tradition! Don’t worry, if you missed it the first time, or want to watch it again, just use the posted link to access the event day or night! The Borough of Wyomissing Recreation Board, Staff, and Council would like to wish residents a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season!

Wyomissing residents did not disappoint! What a fantastically creepy, foggy evening to "Boo!" the best decorated houses in the borough. Recreation Board members Peter Beck, Kate Fanning and Angela Duen had so much fun! Thank you for all your nominations. Feel free to tag the photos of your homes or list your address in comments so borough residents can drive by. Be Safe and Happy Halloween!

During this Fall season, residents are highly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines, as they are finding fun, Fall themed activities. As we approach Trick or Treat night, the CDC suggests that door-to-door trick or treating or trunk or treating of any kind, creates a higher risk situation where COVID-19 could easily be spread. The Borough of Wyomissing has not historically designated Trick or Treat night, however strongly encourages residents and visitors to adhere to CDC guide...lines to protect the safety of Borough residents and visitors. It is recommended that residents who do not wish to participate in Trick or Treat night, keep their porch lights off for the duration of the evening on October 31, 2020. Please click the CDC guidelines link to obtain your copy of the guidelines. In addition, due to current CDC guidelines for COVID-19, and the safety of our community, Spooky Hollow has been canceled for 2020. https://www.cdc.gov//2019/daily-life-coping/holidays.html
