We made our first batch Springerle cookies this season! Springerle is a German Christmas cookie that is made by pressing a mold onto the dough. The dough is then let to dry for about 24 hours before baking, this helps to keep the image on the cookie. Springerle is traditionally flavored with anise and enjoyed with coffee tea.
