This applies to may facets of property insurance coverages including Civil Authority. However current attempts at statutory changes to insurance policy language, legislation being considered in many States and Federal legislatures, and a variety of publicized lawsuits may influence how these claims may be addressed going forward. It may take some time for any of these activities to reach conclusions, however, it is important to review accurate current insurance policies and coverages, including the requirements for prompt notice of claims (even if unsuccessful) and any other insurance policy requirements to preserve your rights should there be a future path to a recovery. Begin the claim documentation process now, while information is available. Consult with your professional advisors to plan your activities in support of any pending claim.
