Did/do any of this misconceptions about motherhood steal your joy? -for me resting when the baby slept was always really hard. I already am a light sleeper who has trouble falling asleep, so napping when baby napped during the day was almost impossible. I would struggle at night falling asleep knowing the baby would wake up shortly and felt like I was on a time line only have a few precious hours (if that) to sleep. So the longer it took me to fall asleep the more anxious I became about it in a spiral of feeling like I would never survive on such little sleep! (The good news is I always did! And I generally calmed down about it after a few weeks post baby). I think the hormones after birth certainly played into my scenario.

They tried! Not quiet enough for sledding. Wishing my friends and clients of insta/fb a merry snow day. Enjoying the peaceful day and glad to not be on call this week for the first time since August!
