You’re welcome to join us for worship, in person or virtually, this Sunday, Transfiguration Sunday, February 14th. Pastor Rob will be reading scripture from 2 Kings 2:1-12 and Mark 9:2-9 and sharing his message, ‘A Part of Something Big.’ The 10:45am service will be held in the Family Life Center. The 8:00am service is held in the sanctuary. You may find the guidelines and information on making a reservation for this service on our web page. We livestream the 8:00am service ...by way of Zion UMC’s Facebook page. Following our times of worship, this video of the service will be saved to Facebook, as well as uploaded to our YouTube channel. As we gather, all attending are asked to follow a few guidelines similar to what is being followed at other churches in our area. These include practices like keeping six feet apart, wearing a mask, and avoiding handshaking or hugging. Guidelines for Churches is posted on our web page, www.zionsarver.com. See more

#FridayFun The first US penny was minted in 1787 and was made of pure copper and was designed by Benjamin Franklin. On February 12th, 1909, marking the 100th anniversary of Lincoln's birth, the first Lincoln penny was issued. It was the first regular issue US coin to honor an actual person. On Lost Penny Day, gather all those pennies you have been collecting and cash them in. Things to do on National Lost Penny Day: Donate your pennies to a good cause, seek out lost pennies. Make a game of it. Be sure to include the kids in this scavenger hunt, flip a coin (a penny) to help you make decisions today, take a few pennies and buy some penny candy. ..wait does penny candy still exist?!
