We had a small but super fun and special group ride and swim clinic today with the wonderful folks of @eta_coach !

@vie13_kustom_apparel is making our day with the delivery of our 2020 Youth designed Kit!! Swipe to the second image to see the jersey up close. The background is an image of the team during our Education Center grand opening and the sleeves feature hand written words from the athletes on how riding a bike makes them feel. Like myself on top of the world anything is possible cool. Kieran and I will be delivering these to you this week!!

Every Monday we start off with a team check in and round up of the coming weeks activities. Today our All Stars blew us away with updates from projects they are taking on from home. Nia, after recieving a cricut from her mom, started her own business called the Pressley Foundation making customized masks! @pinklady1689 Jahiem got a Go Pro and is learning how to film and edit his cycling adventures @peddle_to_the_finish Sasha is taking part in a paid @pyninc Work... Ready training to learn how to be a cycling coach! @iamsasha_731 So proud and impressed with these relentlessly positive and proactive youth leaders

From grant recipient Jahmiel Jackson: When applying for the BCYC Mini-Grant, I knew I wanted to come up with a project that was filled with adventure. Throughout my life, traveling has never been a realistic option for me or my family. As a result, I plan on bike touring Las Vegas not only to experience the west coast and a new city, but to reflect on the nuances and complexities of multimodal transportation. I will also be using this opportunity to travel with my fellow podcasters to gather content for my podcast Vision of Color. Thank you to the Bicycle Coalition for investing into me and my future. Hey Everyone this is Maurice, I am so happy to share what I’ll be doing with my BCYC Mini Grant. I am so excited and thankful for this opportunity. I will be using my grant to hold Arts and Customization classes for my fellow All Star’s to have a more in depth understanding of the process and the skills and equipments needed to make this happen. At the end of the classes we will have an art installation at the @bicyclecoalition Education Center so you can come see our work! Here are some of the things I have customized this summer.

Hey folks, this is Devin Liles and I am happy to announce that I have been selected as a 2020 Graduation Bike recipient. I am very grateful for the times I had with y’all and I thank y’all for the skills that I’ve been taught. This is a great expeience that I will always keep in mind.

It is with incredible excitement that we announce the launch of a brand new, unlike any other BCYC program. This year, our graduating seniors (Who have seen milestone event after milestone event cancelled due to covid) were invited to apply for a BCYC Mini Grant to fund a cycling-related community project or adventure of their dreams. After a series of goal setting and grant writing skill building workshops, all applications are in! This program was funded in full by support from @ohrower / @cadencecycling ‘s fundraiser, @phillyfamilycovidfund / @phillybikeexpo ‘s fundraiser and 2019 Gala attendees. Thank you for investing in the leadership of these visionary young people! Mini-grant awardee's will be announcing their projects on our feed next week ... stay tuned!
