Last month a military junta in Myanmar deposed the duly elected government, and has put down protests in a brutal and deadly manner. On Friday, the U.S. House of Representatives voted 398-14 approving a resolution condemning the military takeover. One of the 14 individuals voting no... our Representative Scott Perry.

If history teaches us anything, it is the devastating effect on humanity when a group of people, any people, are dehumanized. We can debate issues and vehemently disagree without demonizing others. I’m not physically in Atlanta, but I’m with them in spirit as well as all of my extended family and friends of Asian descent.

Side effects typically mean your body is having an immune response. Its unpleasant, but it usually means the vaccine is working.

Although I’m unsure of the Constitutionality of this, it is a positive step forward and worth a shot.
