Congratulations to the Falls Township Police Department and Family Service Association of Bucks County for their new partnership: Falls Township Supporting Reco...very (FTSR)! The goal of FTSR is to assist individuals with substance use disorders by offering them help towards their recovery. FTSR responds to overdose and other substance-related calls on weekdays between 10 am and 6 pm. The team is made up of a police officer and a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), who is a person in long-term recovery. FTSR meets people where they are in the community and in their recovery. Together, the team assists with the individual’s needs, offering recovery supports, resources and a direct connection to treatment. If he or she is not ready for treatment, that’s okay; the team remains available to help when the time comes.
