The Compass & Square Banquet Hall is coming along nicely. The two sides of the room can be used separately or together in a number of configurations. We still have a lot of work to do, but we want everyone to see all of the loving care that is being given to our treasured home!

Good Afternoon Brothers, First, Happy Easter. As we enter another week of this quarantine, we must remind ourselves what being a member of this masonic fraternity is all about and that we all share a common bond. ... We have made this fraternity into something we can all be proud of and one day soon when its safe our lodge rooms will be open and our schedules will be full of masonic activities once again. Until that time, we can and must support each other in ways we never thought of before. While out in public we urge you to follow the CDC guidelines and practice social distancing so that we as a community can protect each other. Under the direction of the Right Worshipful Grand Master all Masonic Activity is suspended until at least May 31st in order to protect each other, our families and our communities. If you have not done so please pick up the phone and call a brother or a friend, check up on each other often and if it is within your power to do so help someone that needs assistance. Our masonic community will persevere because of our spirit and fraternal love. Remember as masons we survived pandemics just like this one, great recessions and great depressions, and a rebirth into this fraternity we love and together we will find a path forward. Today, for many of us is a special day where we practice our faith inside of our churches surrounded by our families celebrating our savior’s resurrection. Unfortunately, those services have been cancelled or moved online. Our church buildings may be dark, and our dinner tables will certainly be missing our extended families, but our faith shines bright within us. We will all come together to celebrate one day soon when it’s safe to do so, in the meantime please utilize technology to communicate with those who mean the most to you and keep your faith strong. We hope you and your Families are Safe and Healthy and together as a masonic community we will come out stronger than before. I hope you and your families are Safe and Healthy. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call the officers and one another. HERBERT C PAYUNG, Junior Warden Phone: 610-844-2520 [email protected] THOMAS J. RIEGER, Secretary Phone 484-767-6355 [email protected] RICHARD BACON 610-395-6156 [email protected] Sincerely and Fraternally, Brother Tom Thomas J. Rieger, Secretary New Temple Lodge 720

April 2, 2020 Dear Brethren, While I know our brethren look forward to returning to their respective lodges and fellowship, I have seen first-hand the severity of this virus, and as it continues to spread, my concern for the health of our brethren and their families remains paramount. Therefore, I have made the difficult decision to extend the suspension of all Masonic events across the state until June 1, 2020. ... Believe me, I’m just as disappointed as everyone else. However, as challenging as this time is, it is also an opportunity to shine our Masonic light by looking out for our fellow brethren, their families and widows, while taking all precautions for safety. Remember, many people are isolated and lonely, so please reach out via phone, text, social media, video chat or other means to simply let them know you’re thinking about them. Please remember to share your acts of kindness with Tina Lutter at [email protected] so she can promote them to inspire others. Some lodges have found creative ways to hold informal meetings and schools by using Zoom. I encourage you to share this as one of many options for providing education, information and meaningful connections while we cannot meet in person. There are incredible things happening during this national healthcare crisis. For example, Brother David Stein, owner of Hidden Still Spirits in Lebanon, has converted his operations to making hand sanitizer and spray and he’s donating all the product he is able to make to first responders. I was just able to pick up 10 gallons of sanitizer for my fire department from this dedicated and caring Brother! If you know of other brethren contributing efforts to fight COVID-19, we would love to hear about it. Our Masonic Villages continue to exemplify our Masonic principles of love and benevolence. Employees from all parts of our operation are pitching in to help care for our residents by delivering meals to residents’ accommodations to promote safety and social distancing. Staff are finding creative ways to help residents stay in touch with their families and enjoy modified recreational and spiritual opportunities. To recognize their hard work, sacrifice and commitment, the Grand Lodge officers and I made emergency relief funds available to provide resources to benefit our front-line caregivers, as well as to supplement other resources to procure elevated levels of personal protective equipment. If you, your lodge or your family would like to brighten our residents’ days, please visit https://masonicvillages.org/sending-smiles/ to learn the best ways to do so. I can’t express how proud I am of being the Grand Master of such an awesome organization. It’s about the people serving in trenches day-to-day who make us so important in this world. I thank the Lord every day that He has allowed me to play a small part in what we do! Sincerely and Fraternally, Thomas Gamon, IV R.W. Grand Master

To the Officers and Members of All Blue Lodges: Due to ongoing concerns surrounding the Coronavirus, effective immediately and until further notice, I am directing any and all lodge activities be canceled, including, but not limited to: extra, special and/or stated lodge meetings; social functions; schools of instruction, etc., as well as youth group and community meetings/events that may be scheduled in your lodge building. Lodge officers may pay lodge bills in the ordi...nary course without lodge approval. This will be in effect until the end of April, by which time we will evaluate the situation and provide additional guidance as needed. While it may be disappointing to cancel events, these measures are being taken out of an abundance of caution to safeguard the well-being of our brethren, their loved ones and our communities. I also want you to be aware, that public tours of the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia have been canceled until further notice. In addition, while we are not aware of any cases at any of our Masonic Villages, we are canceling public events and limiting activities at all of our campuses, as well as screening visitors to our health care facilities. Similarly, while we do not know of any cases within any of our Masonic youth groups, the Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation is suspending all youth group activities and sponsored events at our Masonic Conference Center-Patton Campus until further notice. Sincerely and Fraternally, Thomas Gamon, IV R.W. Grand Master

Yesterday Brothers Payung Sr, Rieger, Weber and Bacon attended Saucon Lodge #469 where Brother Rob Brink was presented as the Right Worshipful Junior Grand Warden of the Grand Lodge of Pa and Brother Scott Strawdinger as the new District Deputy Grand Master of the 9th Masonic District. Congratulations to them both! May there journeys be successful and fruitful and may they continue to support the goals and virtues of freemasonry for years to come!
