Wishing everyone a Happy, Healthy New Year! Sure has been a tough year, but we continue to hope for BETTER! Once again, we reflect on New Year's parties of past...

Santa joined us in giving out meals w/ a warm smile and a candy cane today. (Thanks so much Santa!) Merry Christmas to all our friends!

The center was bustling outside today thanks to Northeastern School Districts "Operation Helping Neighbors" and the Susquehanna Lions Club. Today the seniors received a frozen turkey, 5 lb of potatoes, loaf of bread, the hot meal provided by the YCAAA, homemade sand tarts (Russel & Linda W. who made 450 for us!), the OEEC daycare ornaments, lap robes made by our members, & a face shield w/ our logo. Pictured giving out turkeys & potatoes are two fine Lions' members Tim H. and Ken H. Thanks for everybody's help (including volunteers Barb K. & Alicia L.) in making Christmas special for our seniors!

These pictures are from our last week of activities before re-closing due to rising Covid numbers. On Monday (11/23), the Art Club helped with table banners for this past Saturdays fundraising event at "Small Business Saturday" at Heritage Hills Golf Resort that totaled over $375! On Wednesday (11/25) we began the day with a game of "Christmas Punch", followed by Klinko, then bingo. We gave out our gifts and lottery tickets during all 3 games and while sad about reclosing--we made a great day out of our last day together - until it is safe to reopen.

The senior center has cancelled its soft opening and is no longer providing any indoor activities (beginning 11/30/20) until further notice. However, we will continue with much needed Podiatry Appointments. We will now go back to our previous status of just Mondays-Wednesdays, 8am-11:00am. We continue to deliver a 7 day frozen box of meals for Home-Delivered meals clients on Mondays. If you are homebound and over 60 years of age, you will want to call the York County Area Ag...ency on Aging to see you are eligible for this program at 717-771-9610. If you are over 60 years of age and are not homebound, you may call the center at 717-266-1400. Leave your name, phone number, age, and tell us that you would like to participate in our drive-thru meal program. This takes place every Mon, Tues, & Wed. from 10am-11am. On Mondays and Tuesdays you will receive one take out meal, on Wednesdays you will receive another take out meal accompanied by 2 frozen for Thursday & Friday. Reminder, we must order the meals by 10am one business day ahead, so you must be on our list for the next day’s distribution. Be safe and be well, until we meet again!
