Due to the forecasted additional 5 to 11 inches of snow through 10 am Tuesday morning and winds gusting as high as 35 mph, the retail store will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday February 2, 2021. This decision is made with an abundance of caution for the safety of our employees and customers. Emergency management for Philadelphia and surrounding counties have requested only necessary travel during the storm due to ...forecasted hazardous conditions and to provide a window for road clean-up. Any customer who placed an order for pick-up Tuesday, will receive a phone call today. We regret any inconvenience this may cause our customers. The bakery will re-open 8 am Wednesday morning. We are not taking orders at this time but will be sold on a first come basis through the weekend until sold out. Each week we will post expected days for Babka sales. We are classified as an essential business, and have not changed any of our operational safety guidelines since re-opening in May. As we prepare for the summer 5 week maintenance shutdown, we want to thank our customers for adhering to CDC posted guidelines the last two months while visiting the bakery. It was a delight to greet everyone at the door, and share quarantine stories while waiting in line. As a reminder, Saturday June 27, 2020 is the last day open for Stock's Bakery until Tuesday August 4, 2020. During the closure, authorized resellers will have bar cake ...for sale. Best Deli was added to the authorized list during the "stay at home" phase, and will be offering bars for pick-up and local delivery during the 5 week summer shutdown. Please visit their website for hours of operation. A full list of Authorized resellers is available at the top of our page, and the list covers other Philadelphia county neighborhoods, Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties, as well as South Jersey locations. Please visit their site for available hours during our shutdown. Saturday Hour Changes Beginning with this Saturday June 27th, Saturday hours will change. The new hours will be 7 am - 3 pm. I am pleased to announce that Bakeries have been added to the category of businesses permitting customer access into the retail store with proper social distancing. The separation plexiglass previously put into the store prior to our re-opening, along with a 3 person limit, is compliant with the guideline change. Hope everyone continues to be safe! Effective immediately, in accordance with the City of Philadelphia's operating policy during this stage of the pandemic, we are no longer permitted to allow customers into our retail store. We will, however, have curbside order and curbside pick-up. We recommend that orders are placed by calling the store at (215) 634-7344. Our retail store clerks will come to you in line an...d deliver your purchase. If a customer did not place an order, there will be a list of our product available for purchase that day. While in line, social distancing guidelines apply as well as requirements that all customers wear a mask to protect other customers and our sales clerks. Stock's bakery will reopen our retail store Tuesday May 5, 2020 under CDC recommended social distancing and health safety restrictions. The facility will be cleaned and sanitized Wednesday April 29th through Friday May 1st. During these 3 days, the phone will be answered to accept orders for May and June during the hours of 9am through 2 pm. We highly encourage placing orders to limit the length of time in the store. Please call the store at (215) 634-7344 if you wish to pl...ace an order. Below are the restrictions in place until such time that social distancing requirements are lifted. 1. If you are not feeling well, please stay home. 2. All patrons must wear a mask to enter the store. 3. All employees will wear masks and gloves and temperatures monitored each day. 4. Partitions will be placed between customers and employees at each counter, and between the front and back store. 5. Orders will be packed in our employee area (back store) prior to pick-up. 6. Only three counters will be operational. A box will be outline for one customer for each counter. There will be 6 ft between each of the three boxes. Since only 3 patrons will be allowed in the store at a time, we request only one person for each sale enter the store. An employee will be placed at the door to ensure, as a team, we adhere to the limit. 7. The retail clerk handling your product purchase, will not handle any cash, rather, a clerk will be designated to handle the register. Your items will then be placed on a table by the door. The entire Stock family and our employees want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this closure.
