Giving Tree DeadlineThis Monday 12/21 The PTO is conducting our Giving Tree Program which helps provide holiday gifts and/or necessary items to children in need in our own Afton and Pennsbury School District communities. We are asking for monetary donations and Target, Walmart, and Visa gift cards. Any money received will be used to purchase the aforementioned gift cards for distribution. Our goal is to provide families in need with a $25 gift card to purchase a holiday gift... or an item of need for each child. With your help, we can give these parents and guardians the opportunity to purchase something for their children. If you would like to participate in Afton’s Giving Tree Program, please drop donations in the Afton PTO container in the Afton vestibule or send them in with your child if they are attending in person. Donations are needed by Monday, December 21st, so that we have enough time to distribute the gift cards prior to Winter Break. Please contact [email protected] with any questions. Join Us for Afton Pumpkinfest! Thursday, October 29 6:30-9:00pm The Afton Elementary PTO is hosting Afton Pumpkinfest, a drive through jack-o-lantern display composed of the creations of Afton families!... Afton Pumpkinfest will be held on Thursday, October 29th from 6:30-9:00pm. At the event, we will also be collecting items to "stock the pantry" for Pennsbury families in need (click below for a flier with more information). https://files.constantcontact.com//edd9d8d8-05fc-40a2-b36c We need your help to make this night a success: First, click below to sign up and let us know how many pumpkins you would like to add to the display. https://m.signupgenius.com/ All family members are invited to participate! Next, carve your pumpkins and drop them off anytime before 6 pm on October 29th. The PTO will set them up and get them illuminated. Come back later in the evening to drop off your pantry donation and see the display! Please note, you do not need to contribute a jack-o-lantern to view the display. All are welcome after 6:30pm! We are excited to see Afton shine!
