Dear primary care providers, school nurses, and others in the broad asthma care community, Due to the Covid-19 pandemic many camps are closed or have restrictions on camper numbers this summer. The Young Teen Asthma Camp is going virtual for 2020! The flyer is attached and includes a survey link for contact information to sign up for the camps. The camp will be held the weeks of June 22 (Session 1) and June 29 (Session 2). There is no cost for the camp. The educational progra...m will be led by nationally certified asthma educators. The camp will feature activities, games, music from Asthma Blues, crafts, cooking, and more! To register, submit camper & parent contact info to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VirtualAsthmaCampInterestForm For questions, contact Dr. Ellen Buckner at [email protected] Criteria to attend the camp include: 1. Camper is age 12-15 with diagnosed asthma. 2. Camper will have access to computer and internet during camp. 3. Camper will have appropriate supervision during camp. 4. Camper and Parent/Guardian will commit to full participation for the camp. 5. Parent/Guardian will support Camper in sustaining asthma self-management skills. To complete the survey you will need to know which weeks the camper can attend, and contact names/numbers/addresses/phone for both camper and a parent/guardian. Additional materials will be sent after the interest form is completed. We look forward to having you connect virtually!
