SUNDAY SERVICES JANUARY 24, 2021 8:30 Radio Broadcast: 89.3 FM Informal Family: Rev. Solomon Keal... The Ishmael and Isaac Rational Minds. In Genesis 16, Hagar gave birth to Ishmael. Later, in Genesis 21, Sarah gave birth to Isaac. These children of Abraham represent two different modes of our rational minds. In what ways is our Ishmael rational mind both helpful and dangerous? And how can we move towards operating more in our Isaac rational mind? This service is a pre-recorded video, which will be available sometime on Saturday at www.brynathynchurch.org. Young Children’s Church: Rev. Jeremy Simons And God rested on the seventh day" (Genesis 2:2) This Sunday’s worship service will be about the seventh day of creation. The video will be available later in the week at www.brynathynchurch.org. Cathedral Livestream: www.brynathynchurch.org 9:30 am Family Cathedral: Rev. Erik Buss (Cathedral Nave) "If they don't hear Moses." What do you need to know to be happy? How much proof do you need? We will talk about what is real and what looks real. 11:00 am Adult Cathedral: Rev. Erik Buss (Cathedral Nave) Lift Up Your Eyes and Look. As we go through hard times we tend to look to the future when life, we hope, will be better. The Lord suggests that if we can look with the right eyes we also can see the good that is present right now.

SUNDAY SERVICES JANUARY 17, 2021 8:30 Radio Broadcast: 89.3 FM Young Children’s Church: Rev. Phil Schnarr... And God blessed them (Genesis 1:22, 28) Our worship service will be about the fifth and sixth days of creation. Informal Family: Rev. Eric Carswell What Helps Good Decision-Making" No one hopes to make bad decisions. We all hope to accomplish good things which are our choices. King Jeroboam was promised that his descendants would continue to reign if he followed the Lord but then his fears led him to establish an idol for the people to worship. It was not a good decision. This service is a pre- recorded video, which will be available sometime on Saturday. 9:30 am Family Cathedral: Rev. Grant Schnarr (Cathedral Nave) Even though the Lord loves us, sometimes what the Lord tells us can seem harsh and hard to follow, like all kinds of commands. But the commands are the ones we need the most when we are having trouble following His ways. These are the teachings that will bring us real sight of how to live our lives, and lead to seeing the Lord present in our lives. 11:00 am Adult Cathedral: Rev. Grant Schnarr (Cathedral Nave) We are living in an unsettling time. Emotions are high, opinions stronger than ever, and charity wanes. We can think we are right and others are blind. But all of us are blind to some degree, from ignorance and from evil. But the key to seeing is the same -- to allow the Lord to heal us with His strong truth and call to repentance, to open our eyes, even to the point that we not only see the truth about life, but our sight is opened to the Lord himself.
