Cal U Gerontology

Well here's the news we were all hoping for -- IN WRITING ! No Moratorium for the BS in Gerontology at Cal U! We couldn't have done it without you ALL -- thanks so much for your help.

A quick update on the BS in Gerontology: Things are going VERY well -- and it's looking very hopeful that the degree will remain at Cal U -- your support is EVERYTHING. When it's 100% I'll let you know, but I think we're more than 75% of the way there !!!

I had a meeting today about the Gerontology program's future.... and while nothing has been decided yet, here's how the meeting opened: "I've never seen anything like this support" ! I could cry ! Thanks everyone from as far down in the bottom of my heart as I can get! Love you all!

Friends: I have some disappointing news and am asking for your help. Cal U is facing many financial challenges (especially now) and as a result is putting the BS in Gerontology in "moratorium" -- in other words, they will not be accept new BS students after Fall 2020. The minor and Aging Specialist Certificate will continue. If you'd like to help, you can write several people to voice your concern and support for the program. Alumni can be very influential.
