Vacant Council Position A vacancy on borough council was created with the unfortunate passing of longtime member Jack Bright. Any resident who has resided in Edgewood for at least one year on or before March 15 should submit a letter of interest by 3pm Friday, March 12, 2021. Letters can be submitted electronically to [email protected] using the subject line council vacancy, or in an envelope marked the same to the Edgewood Borough Building located at 2 Race Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15218. The appointed person would serve out the remainder of Mr. Bright’s term which ends December 31, 2021.

County Parks Offer Annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program Dec. 26-Jan. 14 PITTSBURGH The Allegheny County Parks Department is offering its annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program this holiday season. Residents may drop off Christmas trees from Saturday, December 26, 2020, through Thursday, January 14, 2021, at all nine county parks from 8:00 am until dusk. All lights, decorations, tinsel and stands must be removed from trees prior to drop-off. Trees will be mulched and use...d in the county parks. Drop-off locations are: Boyce Park, Soccer Fields Parking Lot Deer Lakes Park, Veterans Shelter Parking Lot Harrison Hills Park, Parking Lot at Chipmunk Drive & Cottontail Drive Hartwood Acres Park, Mansion Parking Lot North Park, Swimming Pool Parking Lot Round Hill Park, Alfalfa Shelter Parking Lot Settlers Cabin Park, Wave Pool Parking Lot South Park, Wave Pool Parking Lot White Oak Park, Chestnut Shelter Parking Lot The list of drop-off locations is also available online at www.alleghenycounty.us//christmas-tree-recycling-program.a.
