In honor of St. Patrick's Day, let's flash back to 6 years ago as cafe favorites The Launies sing a traditional Irish song, The Homes of Donegal. #StPatricksDay
#TBT Before our space came into existence, it was a Mexican restaurant. Take a look back at when the building caught fire in 1985.
Greetings friends! I'm afraid that we have some bad news regarding our cafe. A recent building inspection uncovered some structural deficiencies which has required us to keep the cafe closed until further notice. This is a disappointing development, but this is an issue that must be addressed. As I get more information, I will keep you posted. Thank you for your support of live music.
Happy holidays from our volunteers to you, our fans, friends, and community. This year was quite different than usual for all of us, and as a result, we've missed being with you all. Hopefully, we will see you again sometime in 2021! In the meantime, stay safe.
Take a trip down memory lane with this video, shot in 1980 of Route 30. At the :15 mark, you will see our venue right after the Donut Tree sign. Our venue was a Mexican restaurant before it became the cafe.
Have a safe Thanksgiving! We miss you.
We miss you guys!We miss you guys!
Happy Labor Day!
A cafe favorite is having a virtual show tomorrow. Come hear the stylings of brad yoder.
We will miss our neighbors at Lampeter Cafe.
We love these ladies here at the cafe! Follow them every day at noon EST on Bobbi Carmitchell's FB page.
Tonight would have been opening night for our 2020 fall / winter season, but the virus changed all that. No worries, though. We can still look back at some performances from the past and remember the good times. Here is Homestead Collective performing an original song, "1, 2, 3, 4" from 2018.
We miss you and hope to see all of your faces in our space in the not-so-distant future! In the meantime, let's wind it back to October 2018 as singer - songwriter Brad Yoder performs "As Easily as Birds".
It's been a while since we've posted, but for those of you who are fans of Leo DiSanto, here's another chance for you to hear him as he will be one of the featured musicians this Sunday night at 7pm, as part of Long's Park Summer Music Series' virtual concert series. Click on the post for more information.
Hello friends, Our leadership team met this week to try and figure out if there's a way we can reopen safely, while being fiscally wise, and also adhering to CDC guidelines for social distancing. The issue that we have is space. After doing a bunch of calculations and measuring, we discovered that if we adhere to CDC guidelines, the most number of guests we could fit in our space would be 8-10 people, which we feel would not be fiscally wise to remain open right now. Plus, ...some of our volunteers are not comfortable returning because they fall within the high-risk demographic. We value their health and the health and safety of our guests and musicians above all else. Having said that, we have decided to remain closed indefinitely. We will revisit this again later. We will reach out to our musicians who were scheduled for the fall and winter seasons to let them know. This is a hard post for me to write because of the love and support that you all have shown us over the 7 years we've been open. Not just you, our guests, but also the musicians that have graced our stage over the years. A lot of musicians and guests have become our friends, and for me, that's the toughest part of this decision. The community that you have all helped to build is something not a lot of places can say they have. I love you all very much, and hopefully sooner rather than later, we will open our doors to you again without fear of a virus and that we can all enjoy good coffee and good music in our humble little space. This is not "goodbye", this is a "See you later". Quan, on behalf of the Emmaus Road Cafe management team.

Two cafe favorites on the same night as our friends at 1719 Hans Herr House Museum host singer - songwriters matt miskie and Three Strands on Saturday, June 13 via live stream! View the event details for ticket prices. We can't wait to host these two high quality musicians ourselves when we reopen.
To our friends that are missing out on live music this summer, Long's Park has decided to go virtual this summer in place of their outdoor series due to the pandemic. Check out their June lineup.
